Streaky Bay.

Posted by on April 12, 2011

Good morning everyone,

I am writing this post as I sit outside the van, looking out across Streaky Bay with sun rising and taking the chill from the air. Enough poetry, it is a beautiful clear morning here and we are lucky enough to have a caravan site right on the beach with great views across the bay. We had an easy drive from Port Pirie yesterday, crossing the Eyre Peninsula via Port Augusta, then stopping at Kimba, the half way point across Australia for those of us driving from Sydney to Perth, and Winnipa south of the Gawler Ranges before arriving in Streaky Bay around 3pm (CT).

Today we are going to see the only permanent colony of Australia Sea Lions, about 50km south of here, before we take scenic drive around Cape Bauer.

The boys will create some more posts today and I will post some more photos tonight.

Cheers, Tom.
